As a settler born to this land, I acknowledge that I live and nourish the conditions of my life on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearpaw, and Wesley First Nations. This land, where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet, traditionally called Mohkinstsis by the Blackfoot people, is now called The City of Calgary, and is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

I am committed to principles and practices of decolonization, including settler responsibility for honouring the treaties before the work of collaboration can be undertaken in good faith. I support the restoration and protection of indigenous people’s land and resource rights for the benefit of all.

There is no prosperity without flourishing indigenous communities.

There is no freedom without indigenous liberation.

Serving love & liberation

I am the Receiver

First We Must Outlast

We are all in process.

I serve people who realize that being who you are, is what you are supposed to do. People who understand you are the purpose, you’ve been hoping to find. People who may not feel these things all the time, or believe them ever at all, but can’t shake the whisper that insists there is another way.

People whose identity and ways of being are often overlooked, challenged, or under threat. People who cannot afford to wait any longer for our time to come.

To that love and liberation born of and from the margins, I offer: projects, processes, products, rituals, readings, sessions, structures, and routines that help people feel compassion, connection, sustainability, and support from without and within.

I am a white-passing, able-passing, neuroqueer, non-binary trans, settler of mixed race. I acknowledge my work will cause harm despite my intentions and efforts. I wish to be held accountable for any ways my work, my words, or my actions contribute to ongoing oppression and injustice.

Engaged Attention

No matter what work we do together, you can count on my presence and undivided attention.

Nourishing Storytelling

Good storytelling restores vastness to the imagination, which offers agility, sturdiness, and perspective.

Love Letter Writing

Nothing equals the power of a handwritten letter in connecting with yourself or someone you love.

Horizon Heartwork

Horizon Heartwork is here to support you in calling the whole of yourself home.

Astrological Reflection

Astrology teaches us to start where we are, as who we are and lead out from there.

Projects & Collaborations

Creating and co-creating is not what happens once life falls into place, it is what makes life possible.

Virtual Project Support

I am firmly on the side of your work and happy to be there around a tight corner or a long climb.

Rituals & Resources

These things have helped me and I don’t want to lose them. You are welcome to use what you need.

Retreats & Events

It is such a joy to think through the large and small details of bringing a group together around our work.

your work is important.

Even if you are not sure what your work is.

What do you resist?

Some part of me knows exactly what I am doing, and where I am going, even if it seems to meander. It is surprisingly difficult to find and stay with the path of least resistance, but I am always glad when I do.

Looking up from the bottom of a winding canyon at night.

To the far beyond and back.

Integrity and dignity work together to surround us with the exact right air we each need to breathe. Often, even when working in integrity, we are not held in dignity, and are pulled too far from centre.

Deep Roots, Tender Shoots.

Above ground or below, by night or day, in integration or disintegration, embraced or exiled, these are the transforming conditions of our lives, each with access to nourishment and meaning.

May you live. May you love and be loved. May you endure and outlast. May you be free. May we all be free.

The Gifts of Saturn

As far as planets go, in astrology, Saturn is said to be malefic. It is considered slow and cold, on account of its distance from the sun, and its namesake. Saturn is known for its limiting restrictions, for frustrating people through delay, lack of lucky breaks, and...

I am a Person of Daily Practices

...or I am trying to be. I do have some history with daily posting in projects on the internet, and it went well. Well enough that I came to realize that there might be a way for me to imagine daily practices in my life, that affirm life, and do not exist with the...
